What we do

The GPDF is an ally to Local Medical Committees (LMCs), backing them as the voice of local GPs in efforts to protect and sustain publicly funded general practice. We work in four main areas:

Support Representation

Strengthens the voice of LMCs and the General Practitioners they represent

Conference Funding

Convenes LMCs at conferences to share knowledge and inform national policy

Project Funding

Supports projects that make LMCs more effective and impactful

Legal Support

Funds critical legal interventions to protect and sustain general practices
